The Need:

Following drainage works undertaken in the carpark area, the reinstatement was subject to compaction settlement, asphalt had been used below recommended temperatures, and the surface texture had started to deteriorate. The carpark is subject to 4000 vehicle movements per day and minimising disruption to the clients facility was critical.

Solution:

With the substrate dry and edges swept, PermaFyx L271 was selected as a suitable system to remedy the situation. By filling the deeper sections with a 2-6mm blend and then overcoating the whole area using a 2.5mm blend against a taped edge enabled a quick, quiet and durable repair to be made.

Summary:

Pictures of the finished result really speak for themselves. The client reported back saying, ‘We know that the Meon products always work’ and this application satisfied all expectations. 6 months later the repair is holding up extremely well.

System Used

PermaFyx L271 MMA Surface Repair with 2-6mm aggregate mixed in. Overcoated with a surface layer of base resin, which has 1.4- 2.5mm aggregate.
